Asthma is careful a spasm or irritation of the bronchial tubes that lead to the lungs. This can be due to irritation caused by allergies to food or airborne contamination, or a compassion that is out of what we call the norm. This compassion could be to all the above or it can be emotional. Some researchers think it could be a present at birth or genetic weakness. I have not seen enough research for this to be substantiating, so I leave that up to the experts. I do know, however, it can happen at any age yet it is more common during childhood and some kids just outgrow it.

Diagnosing Asthma

Asthma diagnosis is based on repeated, careful measurements of how professionally the patient can force air out of the lungs and on a thorough medical history and laboratory tests to find out what triggers the patient's acute attacks.

People with asthma react to outside irritants in a way that non-asthmatics don't. Many, but not all, sufferers have allergies that cause their bodies to produce an irregular array of chemicals in reply to ecological allergens.

It's a real caveat before us. Why?

More and more people are becoming chronic patients of breathing trouble in the present context.

The number has already reached 20 millions in the United States itself. And the count has become an ever increasing phenomenon.

Unfortunately asthma has no proper remedial treatment as such. If you are an asthma patient you will have to bear it lifelong.
Yet how can you stay well? This is the focal concern of research related to asthma in the medical world.

Symptoms can come and go with asthma, and their intensity can vary. While asthma is often linked with allergies, it can also be related to non-allergic causes, such as chemical and other irritating substances. Exercise can also bring on asthma symptoms in some people. Individuals who are more sensitive may display asthma indication caused by: pet dander, dust mites, cockroach allergens, molds, or pollens. Asthma symptoms can also be triggered by respiratory infections, exercise, cold air, tobacco burn and other pollutants, stress, food, or drug allergies.

Home Remedies for Asthma Treatment

• Honey is one of the most common home remedies for asthma. It is said that if a jug of honey is held under the nose of an asthma patient and he inhales the air that comes into contact with it, he starts breathing easier and deeper.
• The patient should also be made to inhale steam from boiling water mixed with ajwain (caraway seeds). This is one of the simplest asthma treatments.
• Take a glass of water and add two tsp fenugreek seeds. Boil this mixture, until only 1/3rd of the solution remains. Let the decoction cool down and then drink it.
• Blend radish, honey and lemon juice together in a blender. Mix for 20 minutes and cook in small pan on less heat. Take one teaspoon of it in the morning daily. This is good asthma remedy.
• Drumstick leaves, when boiled in water, efficiently cures asthma problems. In a cup of water, put a small cluster of drumstick leaves and bring to a boil. After boiling for 3 to 4 minutes, strain the water. Add a few drops of lime juice, along with pinch of salt and pepper. Drinking this will help cure asthma.
• Take cup of hot water and put half a teaspoon of licorice root tea in it, then wait for 10 minutes, strain and drink. This remedy is one of the best home remedies for asthma.
