This valve is called lower esophagus sphincter. 1. For instant relief, drink the mixture of baking soda in the water. Take 2 teaspoons of baking soda and add it in one glass of water, stir it and drink it when symptoms occur.

2. In case of tea or coffee lovers; one can switch to herbal tea. There are many herbal teas available, for instance chamomile tea or fennel tea. It will not only resolve the acid reflux but it will also help in the proper digestion.

3. This is one of the most effective remedy amongst many other home remedies for acid reflux. Take one teaspoon of aniseed and one teaspoon of lavender. Brew this two for 15 minutes in 2 and half cup of boiling water. Afterwards strain it and add 1 tablespoon of honey in it. Drink this mixture twice daily.

4. Drink chilled skim milk while acid reflux occurs. But, avoid eating dairy products. Also, include alkaline foods in the salad, for example carrots, olives, cabbage, beetroots and cucumbers. In addition, the recommended alkaline foods must be eaten raw.
