Excessive exposure to sun should be avoided as much as possible. Don't scrub your face excessively and use only natural lotions and soaps. It is not recommended to apply oily lotions or milk cream on the sunburn skin because this will damage your skin more.

There are many natural remedies that can help you to get rid of the unpleasant effects of the sunburn. For example you can prepare a paste from barley powder, a few drops of olive oil, honey, white of an egg and milk. This remedy is very efficient only when the sunburns are on the face. Mix one part tomato juice with six parts of butter milk and apply the remedy on the sunburn areas. This remedy will help your skin to heal quickly.

Lettuce or cabbage leave are very beneficial natural treatments when it comes about sunburn. Take some leaves of lettuce or cabbage and refrigerate them (you can also dip them in cold water). Wait until the leaves are very cold and apply them on the sunburn skin. In a short time you will feel a great relief.

To get a fast relief from sunburn pour some rose water in cold water and have a bath. The beneficial effects will not delay to appear. You can also use some drops of sandalwood oil instead of rose water.

If you have suffered serious sunburns have a bath in cold water. Keep the affected parts under the water for 15-20 minutes. If the areas under the eyes and the cheeks are affected by sunburns slice of cucumber or tea bags should be applied as soon as possible. You can also apply slices of potatoes and tomatoes as well. They have the same curative properties as cucumber or tea bags when it comes about sunburn.

Add a half a teaspoon of vinegar to a bucket of cold water. Soak a clean soft cloth in this water and apply on the affected areas. A solution prepared from equal parts of water and milk. Soak a soft cloth in this water and then apply the compress on the affected areas. This remedy will bring a quick relief.

Add 4-5 tablespoons of oatmeal in cold water and have a bath for 15-20 minutes. This remedy will reduce the irritation of the skin in a short time. You can also have a bath in cold water mixed with a few drops of peppermint oil.

Cucumber juice has the great property to reduce the inflammation and the redness of the skin and to soften the skin so that to offer a great relief. Take a tablespoon of cucumber juice and mix it with a tablespoon of milk. Use this solution to dab the sunburn areas on your face.

There are several herbs known as very efficient remedies for sunburn to. For example aloe vera can be used as a natural screen against the sun. Make a paste from aloe vera leaves and apply it on the skin before exposing you in the sun. This paste will act as a natural barrier against sunrises. Sandalwood or onion juice can be also used in treating sunburns.
