Phosphatidylcholine is part of the essential phospholipids existing in all cells of the body. These are fat molecules that are important pieces of all cell membranes, and act as signal callers inside cells including, and most essentially, the brain. They interact with proteins, neurotransmitters, and cholesterol in regulating metabolism and use in cells and tissues. They are called essential because they are not made by the human physical specimen and must come from supplementation.

The exclusive feature of Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is that its head molecule includes choline. This is one of the most important nutrients for brain and neuralgic tissue. It is a important component of acetylcholine, an essentially essential neurotransmitter.

Phosphatidylcholine decreases dramatically as you grow older and may be a crucial reason in collapse of brain and nerve tissue use. It plays a vital role in:

• Guarding all tissues from free radical injury
• Transporting fats for metabolism
• Improving cellular utilization
• Burning fat deposits
• Enhancing brain function and neuralgic function incorporating memory.

Thousands of studies have verified its paybacks. In the Framingham heart analysis those individuals with the most levels of phosphatidylcholine in the blood had a 47% reduced risk of causing dementia.

Many citizens with arteries clogged with calcium are taking phosphatidylcholine to lessen blockages. The most efficient way to get it into your body as of the fall of 2009 is with weekly intravenous “pushes” of a product made in Switzerland called Lipostabil. The amounts can be as tiny as 5 cc or as high as 15 cc without any negative effects. The basic dosage is 10 cc.

The injection tube should be filled with an equal dose of blood to phosphatidylcholine blended together prior to infusing at the rate of 3 minutes per 5 cc of phosphatidylcholine. The next common protocol seems to get the greatest outcomes for lessening plaque buildup in the arteries: 2 or 3 pushes of Phosphatidylcholine followed by 1 EDTA chelation treatment.

Unfortunately this is not a fully tested treatment for heart blockages so you will not find a normal allopathic physician making use of it. You have to search around your local area for naturopathic or holistic doctors who offer EDTA chelation therapy or other alternative modalities of healing. If they supply chelation it is really easy for them to supply PC Pushes.

The Lipostabil protocol is an emulsifier for arterial blockages while EDTA chelation erases it from the arteries. The basic course is 20-30 Libostabil sessions and 10 chelation treatments. We have seen the cost for a 10 cc PC push of Lipostabil range from $60-$175 and 10 cc EDTA chelation range from $75-$125. So this is a $5000 process if you add in two CT scans to monitor your improvement. All other choices to calcification of the arteries are physically invasive.

The most efficient way to monitor your improvement is to run a CT Scan of your heart previous to your treatment with the intention of getting a calcium score. Repeat after 30 pushes and 10 chelations to see if your calcium score is reduced. CT Scans cost approximately $500 and although they are sometimes tricky to find, usually they can be found in major metropolitan places.

None of the statements above have been evaluated by the FDA.
