Hair is a filamentous material made up of keratin protein that grows from follicles present in the dermal layer of the skin. A human contains an average of 100,000 strands of hair on his head.

3. Aloe Vera: It is known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. It helps in maintaining the proper pH of hair and scalp. Aloe vera when used properly can act as a natural hair conditioner.

4. Tea-tree: Tea-tree oil is a natural source of hair conditioner. Its anti- bacterial properties help in preventing dandruff and other scalp infections leading to hair loss.

5. Coconut Milk: It has a rich source of essential nutrients that helps in promoting hair growth if consumed regularly.

6. Green Tea: Being a source of Catechins helps in healing baldness.

7. Almonds: It has a rich source of vitamin E and essential cholesterol, which not only nourishes from inside but also prevents hair fall and controls dandruff when applied externally.

8. Fenugreek seeds: It has been used as an herb since ages for controlling hair fall. It acts as a good source of enzymes essential for hair growth and is also helpful in preventing greying and dandruff.

9. Henna: A paste of henna when applied with amla, green tea and egg yolk not only prevents hair loss but also increases the volume of hair giving a fine texture and softness.

10. Lettuce and Spinach: It is an essential source of vitamins and minerals that should be consumed on a regular basis for natural hair growth.

11. Onion: Use of onions also helps in regrowth of hair, especially when rubbed regularly over bald patches.
