Hypertension is more common among persons engaged in mental labor, accompanied by neuro-psychological strain. Development of hypertension are important hereditary factors are insufficiently understood. As predisposing factors adopt smoking and alcohol abuse. Early symptoms in hypertension are headache, disturbed sleep, tinnitus, palpitations, easy mental and physical fatigue. Headache is more pronounced in the morning after sleep night after work. It is usually localized in the frontal and occipital region and a tightening in nature. In later stages of disease symptoms become permanent, and blood pressure stabilized at levels 150-180/95-110 millimeters of mercury. In the course of disease often hypertensive crises occurred, with rapid and sharp increases in blood pressure and more than 190/115 millimeters of mercury and enhance headaches.

How to treat hypertension?

Treatment of hypertension depends on the stage and degree of naprednalost disease. Generally can be divided by changes in lifestyle and medication. In most cases, starting with a change of lifestyle and failure is added to medication. Provided that there is no accompanying disease directly with medication is started only in severe hypertension, but this in no way excludes the necessity of a change in lifestyle.

What does "change in lifestyle" treatment of hypertension?

Healthy changes in lifestyle have the potential to prevent the occurrence of hypertension and have proven effective in
lowering blood pressure. These include:

Overweight is defined as body mass index (BMI)> 27 and is associated with increased blood pressure. Reducing increased body weight reduces both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. It is also considered that reduction of weight enhances the effect of medical treatment of hypertension.

Limiting the intake of alcohol - principally alcohol dilates blood vessels and leads to lower blood pressure. This effect, however, is his opposite in chronic use, leading to increased blood pressure and lack of response to medication. So chronic alcohol consumption leads to increased blood pressure and lack of response to medication. Safe amount of alcohol include no more than 30 ml of pure alcohol or beer 500 ml or 200 ml wine or 50 ml spirits.

Physical activity - regular physical activity leads to lower blood pressure, increased physical capacity and weight loss. These facts suggest that sport in most cases a positive effect and can be very valuable instrumental in combating this disease.

Limiting the sodium salt in food - a small to moderate effect in lowering blood pressure. Daily intake should not exceed 6 grams.

Interruption of smoking - a significant increase in blood pressure accompanies smoking each cigarette. Categorical denial of smoking significantly reduces the total cardiovascular risk. Low nicotine preparations in smoking cessation do not increase blood pressure.

Reduction of stress - the existence of stress leads to increased blood pressure. Modeling the behavior, sport and active relaxation can lead to significant decreases in blood pressure.

Japan and China have benefited from drinking green tea vs. black tea, like the rest of us, for centuries. The west is just now catching on to the benefits of green tea. With green tea being no more harmful than a cup of coffee (and actually containing less caffeine) there's no reason why you shouldn't begin today to benefit from green tea too.
