Successful body builder manage to elevate their training and dieting from being an activity that they engage in to a lifestyle. They make body building the center of their decisions on what they do, when and how. The diet and the sleep patterns become as part of the training as the training sessions themselves. In body building, success accrues for a comprehensive way of life, geared towards predetermined objectives.
One way of doing this is by establishing behaviors that ascribe to the training demands. Body builders will eat specific things and not others, spend time doing specific things and not other. It is all in the behavior and the daily commitments. For instance, a none-body builder will sleep when he finishes with other things in the day, yet a body builder will plan for specific times of day when he or she must hit the sack.
A none body builder will spend the wee hours of the night drinking with buddies and be okay with it as long as he or she can catch some sleep before the morning comes. The body builder will not drink alcohol or at least not that much, will prefer to rest and grow rather than spend the time on a bar stool and many other choices in life. In this we can see that behaviors are chosen and adopted in respect with the body building program.
It is behaviors that form the al important link between body building failure and body building success. If for instance you are so used to junk food, what you have to do to ensure you succeed in training is to stop your dep0endence on junk food and instead concentrate on eating healthy wholesome foods. This might call for time to cook and shop for healthy foods, but again it is in behavior.
If you really want to get ahead with body building, and to achieve the gains you so desire, then it is important that you learn how to squash the ill behaviors you have formed over the years and ingrain correct and healthy behaviors that arguer well with your training objectives. That is the only hope that will ensure that you remain viable among the potential body building success stories of the future.
It is not what you do in one day or two that is going to propel you high, but what you do day in day out. That link between failure and success lies in building behaviors and characters in agreement with the goals you have. Once the lifestyle change has been effected, then you will realize that an acceptable level of progress in training has been achieved. All training systems, approaches and techniques must be perfected into the harmony of life and made the order of the day, behaviors that is, and not one time offs.
Yet this behavior when cultivated will not always remain relevant and appropriate, again, you have to learn how to ensure the lifestyle and behavior system adapts to prevailing needs of body building. If you used to eat lean proteins and minimal amounts ate the beginning of a body building program, when you get into advanced levels of training and grand muscle growth is desired, you must then increase the proteins in your diet to cater for increased needs for growth. So too in other areas. Behavior must remain dynamic, constantly reviewed to feature changing times and needs.
