When brain cells (neurons) deteriorate, Parkinson's disease is the result. It is considered a chronic condition, as opposed to acute, because it has no cure and doesn't go away by itself. It is also a degenerative disease, meaning that it breaks down the body of the person it attacks.

Parkinson's disease (PD) belongs to a group of conditions called motor system disorders, which are the result of the loss of dopamine-producing brain cells.
The four main symptoms of PD are tremor, or wobbly in hands, arms, legs, jaw, and face; rigidity, or stiffness of the limb and trunk; bradykinesia, or slowness of group; and postural instability, or impaired balance and harmonization.
